Test tube vase
I think these little test tube bud vases that I saw on marthastweart.com (I think that’s where I found them, some cutesy magazine like that) are too cute. I have no idea where I could find an old set but when I do I’m going to do this. It’s pretty but a bit creepy don’t you think?

DIY test tube vase
After I found these I searched for test tubes and found lots of people doing this kind of thing with them. I found these on www.curbly.com. They are a bit more “modern”. I like the chaos of the ones with the rack. I’d guess each vase is about $12 plus your precious time. The directions can be found on the site mentioned above.
I think my favorite test tube item has been the spice “rack” that I saw on thesteampunkhome.blogspot.com. (Like I need any help with my “steampunk”/antiquarian tendencies, I do enjoy this blog). I would love to make this rack for a few of our key spices. We buy spices the Indian market way, in pounds, so these test tubes can not hold our collection. But, I would love to this with bath salts or body powder. I think it would be really cool to have a different scent in each tube and mix and match as I plus: iris+violet, grapefruit+ginger, rose+patchouli. The possibilities are endless and it would look very nice in my powder room and boudoir. I would feel a bit like a mad scientist mixing and matching my fragrance creations.

Test tube spice rack
This is kind of a weird idea, but in an alluring way. I think I like it.
